Do you accept my insurance?

We participate in many major health insurance plans including Medicare and Worker’s Compensation. See our list of accepted plans or contact us prior to your first visit for more information.


Do you submit claims to my insurance company?

Yes, we will file claims with your insurance company on your behalf. In order to appropriately submit these claims, we will need to obtain a copy of your insurance identification card to ensure that we have the necessary information.


How should I dress?

Consider wearing comfortable clothing such as sweatpants or shorts, a T-shirt or tank-top and sneakers.


Do I need a physician prescription to receive physical therapy?

A physician referral is not necessary for you to legally be seen by a licensed therapist in Pennsylvania.

However, your insurance company may have different requirements in place. Please check with your insurance company as many health insurance plans require a physician referral for therapy to be covered. 


What is the difference between a prescription and a referral for physical therapy?

A referral is an authorization from your Primary Care Physician (PCP) referring you to an in-network specialist. Most HMO’s require a referral. A prescription is the written order for physical therapy from the referring physician. Please check with your insurance carrier to find out if you need a doctor’s referral or if your physical therapy prescription will satisfy your insurance plan’s requirements.


How long is each visit?

Your initial visit will typically take 60-90 minutes. Subsequent visits are shorter, usually around an hour. Times vary due to the specific treatment and exercises being performed.


How often will I visit for treatment?

The number of visits that you will need will be determined during your initial evaluation. Most patients and conditions require 2-3 visits each week.
